What a year this has been, with so much thanks to all of you! Many shows in many places, with so many of you there to share the joy. HIghlights were the Red Door in Portsmouth, Club Passim with Mr. Fox, and of course Paradise Rock Club. I've played on some great new CDs for  for Subject Bias, Laurel Brauns, What Time is is Mr. Fox?, Kim Davidson, Patti DeRosa, and Jen Tobiasz. I released Strange Little Valentine over a year ago, and it had a wonderful run on college and community radio, hitting #1 as far away as Alaska, California, and Colorado. Big Love to WSCA Portsmouth, who is still rockin' it.

My next show is Sept. 22 in Portland, ME opening for Dan Blakeslee's CD release party at the Northstar Cafe, 225 Congress St. What a magical night this will be! Please come and help Dan celebrate, and help me enjoy a new venue -- it is a music mecca in Portland.

Big Love to all,
Kristen

Please come celebrate with me!

Saturday, April 22, 8 p.m. at Belleville Hall (300 High Street in Newburyport, MA), I will be releasing my CD Strange Little Valentine with a special concert. My good buddies What Time is it Mr. Fox will be doing a superb opening set, and my dear friend Mac Ritchey will be playing wild percussion with me. Tickets at the door, $12, or in advance, $10. Email for reservations.

Also, Strange Little Valentine has been added to about 60 stations across the country. If you want to hear it, just call your local radio station, especially college and community radio. Presently, it's charting in California and Colorado.

Thanks one and all for your support.

I hope you are all enjoying spring!
All my best,
Kristen

This is a special brew to (finally!) announce the release of my new CD, Strange Little Valentine. As many of you know, I have worked for a long time on this disc, recording while I was pregnant, and mixing after my son was born last July. It is now back from the printers, and I am so excited that I've got it in hand!

The release party will be on April 22 at 8 p.m. at the Belleville Hall at 300 High Street, Newburyport, MA. (Belleville is a huge white church, the hall is the building adjacent. Very cool, funky room for a concert...) Opening the evening will be my good buddy and crooner-noir Brian King. Tickets are $12 at the door, or $10 in advance. Send Email for reservations.

The disc reaches radio tomorrow, and I'll be giving you an update in my April brew about that.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support of my work, whether you are new to the mailing list, or you've been with me from the beginning. I am overjoyed to be back on stage, and having a wonderful time performing.

I hope to see you on the 22nd of April for music and celebration.

Peace, Love, and Cellos,
Kristen

January 14, 2006

A happy and warm January to you all!

I have a show coming up that I wanted to tell you about. The CD is done, and ready to go to press. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, my baby is napping. The world is suddenly a more beautiful place.

Okay, anyway, the show:

I will be opening for Anais Mitchell at the Riverwide Coffeehouse, Friday January 20, 8 p.m. located at the UU Church, 26 Pleasant Street, Newburyport, MA. $10 at the door.

Anais is awesome and $10 is a total steal for all that music, so come on out and enjoy.

I will be releasing the cd right soon, and details are forthcoming.

I hope you are all well and enjoying this impossibly beautiful break from the winter weather. It's like a free ticket to Florida without the plane trip!

Peace, Love and Cellos,
Kristen
